The neighbour of the 58-year-old woman who was recorded being assaulted by her 25-year-old daughter in Lower Delta Road has been charged in court.
According to this Channel NewsAsia report, Darwinder Singh is accused of abetting Ms Siti Redha Khamis to voluntarily cause hurt to her mother, Kamisah Burel. The two allegedly fed human faeces and urine to Mdm Kamisah.
Darwinder reportedly revealed in court today that "he only told Siti to feed her mother faeces once, but she did so every day." He could face up to seven years jail term or a fine, or both. He has been ordered remanded for a week, to be taken out for further investigations as needed.
It is not clear if Kamisah's daughter has been arrested as well, but a Jul 21 Channel NewsAsia report said that she was assisting the police with investigations and that the case has been classifed as voluntarily causing hurt.
