How depraved can you be to molest your wife's sister and teenage cousin with other family members nearby?
A 33-year-old former Changi Airport auxiliary policeman has just been sentenced to 11 months in prison as well as three strokes of the cane and a $1,000 fine for molesting his wife's family members, The Straits Times reports.
In 2012, he harassed his wife's then 16-year-old cousin who was living with him in Bukit Panjang. When she was leaving her bedroom, the man suddenly smacked her ass with his hand and persisted in asking to touch her buttock, even as she rejected his advances. She left the house later on out of fear.
Later that same year, he caught sight of her changing in her bedroom late at night and sent her a text about having seen her butt twice. In disgust, she immediately deleted his messages.
In October 2013, his whole family had stayed overnight at a chalet in East Coast to celebrate his daughter's first birthday. While they were asleep — with both his daughter and the victim's four-year-old daughter lying between them — the man groped his sister-in-law, sliding his hand into her clothes to touch her breast and genitals. The 28-year-old woman swept his hand away, but said nothing.
The next year in January, the family returned the chalet for another celebration, and the deviant man proceeded to carry it out again, this time while she was sleeping beside his own brother. She woke up and struck his hand away.
In court, he pleaded guilty to all three charges of outraging modesty as well as one of insulting modesty.
