Vincent AngSaid to possess a hot-tempered personality and known to be quite prone to violence, national cyclist Vincent Ang is currently under police investigation for allegedly assaulting his own team-mate after an argument during their training session last Sunday morning.  The team-mate — 29-year-old — Ang Kee Meng lodged a police report after the spat, stating that he was hit by Vincent on two separate occasions during the altercation. He was left with bruises to his head and was given three days of medical leave, TODAY reports. Reportedly, 38-year-old Vincent Ang got pissed by a manoeuvre by national team-mate Calvin Sim during a ride along Lim Chu Kang road, to which Kee Meng came to the defence of Sim. Vincent then rode up to Kee Meng and hit him on the back twice.  Kee Meng and Sim then left the group with a few other riders to have breakfast at Adam Road hawker centre.  It was only around half an hour later that Vincent arrived to confront Kee Meng. Before Kee Meng could reply to the verbal threats, Vincent hit his team-mate across the head. The assailant was told to leave while two other cyclists shielded Kee Meng from further attacks.  Some members of the local cycling community have even informed TODAY that such raging behaviour are par for the course when it came to Vincent — his spats with the national team selection and issues with driver on the road have been long known.   The Singapore Cycling Federation have also launched their own investigations into the matter.  Only recently did the cyclist scored a bronze medal in the men's category at the SEA Games here last month, but it seems that Vincent fully expects to be stripped off the national colors, according to an update on his Facebook page.  He even goes on to explain that Kee Meng allegedly spread rumours that his wife — who works in the pharmaceutical industry — provided the cyclist with drugs.    (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); what ALL the paper refused to report was this is the same ANG KEE MENG that allegedly spread rumors (he called it a... Posted by Vincent Ang on Wednesday, 22 July 2015"Do you know his "joke" could have easily cost my wife her job and our way of life? This had also discredited all the sacrifices and hard work I put in, which only a handful will truly understand," Vincent ranted. "This 'joke' still has repercussions up till today and it's not funny at all."  He also claims that he did not head down to Adam Road Food Centre to confront Kee Meng, like what the media have been reporting. Though he did not deny his misconduct, he did express regret over his actions.  Vincent, of course, is no stranger to headlines. In January, STOMP reported that he was seen cycling down Rifle Range Road carrying his two-and-half year-old son in one arm and a mobile phone in the other. Prior to the SEA Games, he was involved in an accident in March, in which his bicycle was severely damaged by an smugly impudent driver.  Photo: Vincent Ang Facebook page
