While concocting a masterplan to smuggle in a brick of weed across the borders, this dude probably said 'Fuck it', stuffed it in his pants and hoped for the best.
Lady luck was not on his side though — he was arrested pretty much immediately at Woodlands Checkpoint.
At 5.50am yesterday morning, the 20-year-old male Malaysian was stopped for routine check upon arrival at the checkpoint, but Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers spotted a bulge around his waist.
Evidently not a boner, the bulge turned out to be a package of cannabis wrapped with newspapers and plastic, tucked in his pants at the waist. The 900g brick of cannabis, worth an estimated street value of $29,000, was then confiscated by the Central Narcotics Bureau.
Since he imported more than 500g of cannabis, the man might face the death penalty should he be convicted under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
