Seems like JEM isn't the only mall suffering from an unfortunate series of flooding. Orchard's Lucky Plaza became host to two soggy incidents after water started leaking into the ceiling following heavy downpour.
Shopkeepers speaking to Lianhe Wanbao noted that the premises always gets wet when it rains — that's how bad the situation is at Lucky Plaza.
Wednesday evening also saw one lift being totally waterlogged, and had to be shut down while workers used pipes to draw water from the first and second floors as well as the lift.
Dripping water affected many of shops in the past week, affecting multiple stores selling accessories, clothing, shoes and mobile phones. Some of the shopkeepers had no choice but sell their products at a lower price when their goods get damaged.
Not that lucky a plaza after all.
