Indie bookstore BooksActually loves books so much that they're having a 24-hour showcase dedicated to all things literature.
Bookmark Jul 10 and 11 in your diaries for their 24-hour Bookstore Event, where authors, poets and other literati will be gathering on the streets of Yong Siak Street to present a series of concurrent book launches and readings
Drop by to catch the inauguration of Audrey Chin's Nine Cuts, Cyril Wong's The Lover's Inventory, Jon Gresham's We Rose Up Slowly as well as live poetry readings by the likes of Jennifer Ann Champion, Pooja Nansi, Amanda Chong and many more.
Of course, you need some fuel for all that brainwork — a satay man will be on hand with all the freshly grilled fares you need that evening.
The event starts proper from 7pm onwards tomorrow, and will end at 2am. Books and booksellers will be taking a rest from 4am till 10am, before re-opening again on Saturday. More details on the Facebook event page.
