The three-day hearing to determine how much Roy Ngerng will need to pay Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in damages for the defamation suit the blogger lost on Nov 7, 2014, enters its second day today.
Ngerng is unrepresented in court and personally cross-examined the PM Lee yesterday for about six hours, according to Channel NewsAsia.
PM Lee's laywers have suggested to the Court how much Ngerng, a former healthcare programme coordinator at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, should pony up.
According to them, previous defamation suits involving top government ministers awarded $100,000 to $400,000. Because of Ngerng's "malice and continuing attacks", they argued, he should pay more.
Ngerng has also posted Day 1 updates to his Facebook account.
