Young Rim Lee'Cutting Into Different Spaces' by Young Rim Lee At its last exhibition in its Gillman Barracks gallery, Space Cottonseed presents a series of site-specific installation works by Korean artist Young Rim Lee.   The title of the exhibition, "Cutting Into Different Spaces", perfectly describes the two works that Lee has created. As in the image above, a floor-to-ceiling red, geometric mass protrudes from a corner, as if it has grown organically into the space.  The work asserts its presence within the confines of the gallery space, transforming the entire room and fully involving the viewer as they enter the space. See more works by Young Rim Lee in Cutting Into Different Spaces at Space Cottonseed (47 Malan Road, Gillman Barracks #01-24, S 109444; +65 6694 3362). Till Jun 28, Tue-Sat 12pm-7pm, Sun 12pm-6pm. This column is in collaboration with The Artling – a curated selection of Art from Asia’s best galleries and artists, www.theartling.com.
