Explosions? Check. Angry mob clashing with riot police? Sure. Tense soundtrack? Aye. Scowling faces? But of course.  As the clock ticks closer to the opening date of 1965 — the period drama/epic about the tumultuous beginnings of Singapore's independence — the main trailer has been unveiled, showing that the movie might just be a grittier, more expensive Growing Up.  Veteran actor Lim Kay Tong moves, speaks and acts brilliantly in his interpretation of the late founding prime minister Lee Kuan Yew, fitting in perfectly in the well curated '60s set. The rest of the cast... well let's just say some of the dialogues and performances feel a wee bit stiff. We'll just have to see how the movie fares as a whole when it comes out on Jul 30.
