Why bother waiting for nighttime to start partying? Juice up your pre-work morning with a round of sober dancing and a refreshing breakfast when the Zespri Golden Morning Party hits Kyō tomorrow morning.
Organised by kiwi fruit brand Zespri and hosted by UK's 'conscious clubbing' movement pioneers Morning Gloryville, the early morning dance party introduces the concept to Singapore, and apparently it would be the first one to hit Southeast Asia. Similar dawn parties such as Daybreaker have been a hit in the United States in recent months, finding widespread popularity in Silicon Valley and New York.
Eschewing dimly lit dance floors and flailing your bodies in a drunken attempt to dance, the party will be presented as a brand-new fitness experience for electrifying your morning before heading to work. "Free form improvised dancing wakes up the body and mind while stimulating creativity, leaving everyone feeling more energised for the work day ahead," they claim.
Expect none of the usual intoxicated assholes sloshing their liquor and beer on you accidentally — the alcohol-free event will feature more wholesome fare with a breakfast bar serving healthy food such as roasted chicken and vegetarian wraps as well as other small bites and of course, Zespri SunGold kiwifruits.
The pre-work party at Kyō starts at 6.30am and will end just in time for your work shift at 9.30am — free admission for all guests above 16 when you register on their site. More details on the Facebook event page.
