They won't shoot the messenger, but he'll probably end up in jail.
Singapore police arrested a 23-year-old man in the wee small hours of the morning on May 26 after being alerted to the presence of a suspicious character loitering outside a residential unit along Jurong East Avenue 1.
Turns out, the said unit was splashed with paint. Turns out, the suspect is believed to have assisted syndicates to carry out loanshark harassment in Jurong East and Boon Lay public housing estates by splashing paint outside debtors’ residences and scrawling loanshark-related graffiti on walls.
It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it, eh?
The 26 year old was caught with the aid of images obtained from police cameras. He will be charged in Court on 27 May 2015 for loanshark harassment and could be fined between $5,000 and $50,000 with mandatory imprisonment of up to five years and mandatory caning of up to six strokes.
