Gambling Man: Singaporean arrested in the Philippines for duping casino out of US$30mLacking a team of 13 sassy veteran thieves and the irresistible charm of George Clooney, a Singaporean man has been arrested in the Philippines after cheating a casino out of US$30 million.  According to Shin Min Daily News, 37-year-old heist-hatcher Dominic Sim had allegedly used a fake receipt to exchange US$30 million (SGD40.4 million) worth of gambling chips in February last year at Solaire Resort & Casino, located in Parañaque City.  When Sim was confronted by the casino's management, he gave a variety of excuses (very unbecoming of con-artists) and failed to return the money in the following months, pushing the casino to call the cops on him.  Sim was eventually arrested on Apr 21, and was subsequently denied bail for him to return back home to Singapore. The case against him is ongoing.  Photo: Ray Dumas via Flickr
