Things are looking up for Gushcloud, the influencer marketing platform that incurred the wrath of prominent blogger Xiaxue as well as being the centre of controversy with Singtel. Korean media giant Yello Mobile has officially assimilated Gushcloud into its fold.
TechCrunch reports that both companies settled on a multi-million dollar deal that secured Yello Mobile a majority share of the company.
The Korean company was established back in 2012, aiming to be a top mobile media group offering services in advertisement and digital marketing, online travel, mobile shopping and more. Reportedly, they've been known to be voracious acquisitors, absorbing 61 companies under their umbrella just last year.

In many ways, Gushcloud seems to be a right match for Yello Mobile. Despite its recent bad press, Gushcloud does have control over a colossal number of Singapore's most popular bloggers, YouTubers, vloggers, Instagrammers and the likes across Southeast Asia, and Yello Mobile will now have that entire network under their wing.
Techcrunch also noted that Yello Mobile plans to acquire at least 20 more marketing companies across Asia this year. Though acquiring may be too strong a word — Yello Mobile allows founders to continue building their companies without much interference, as if they were still independent. Which is very good news for Gushcloud.
It's unclear how Gushcloud's most prominent critic Xiaxue will react to this.
