A very drunk 37-year-old financial adviser Mark Ho Chia Hwa assaulted the driver who chased him for payment by choking him out at the open-air carpark of Block 16 along Ghim Moh Road. He was jailed for six weeks after admitting to causing hurt to the victim, The Straits Times reports.
The 53-year-old cab driver had picked up Ho and his female friend in the wee hours of the morning of Aug 16 last year at Orchard Towers, where he had been drinking with his friends, downing over 10 shots of cognac.
Ho is currently out on $15,000 bail, pending his appeal against the sentence.
