Grudge Match: Man jailed for biting off housemate's ear during drunken scuffleWhen his housemate refused to lend him his ears, Feng Zhangao took it for himself by biting it off.  The 25-year-old Chinese national has since been sentenced to four months in jail for voluntarily causing hurt to his 31-year-old housemate Wei Liangliang, TODAY reports.  Feng had been nursing a grudge against Wei, who had previously told him off for not shutting the door quietly in the flat they both lived in along Woodlands Drive 62.  On Mar 15, a clearly drunken Feng — who had consumed four cans of beer — went to confront Wei, obviously leading to a brawl. The drunken man however took things a little too far when he bit off Wei's left ear lobe, and the fight stopped. The police was then called.  Wei's detached earlobe was then preserved in ice before re-attached.  In court, the District Judge also ordered Feng to compensate Wei $2,765 for medical fees and loss of income due to medical leave.  The ear-biter could have been jailed for up to two years and/or fined $5,000.  Photo: jenny cu via Flickr
