COCONUTS HOT SPOT — Uh oh, there's a new dessert to obsess about called frozen custard. Designated a "super premium ice cream" by the US food and drugs governing body, it's believed to be the healthier choice, with less calories and sugar, and using natural ingredients such as milk and egg yolks. Opened by a brother-sister team, Density is located in a shophouse, in the Civic District, with industrial-chic interiors inspired by Chicago's 1933 World's Fair (where frozen custard was first served to the world). While there are six signature flavours on the menu, only three will be served on any one day. Your choices ($4-$9.50 per scoop) are Buttered Popcorn, Red Velvet, Rocher, Quadruple Chocolate and Black Forest. Density can seat up to 40 people and also serves coffee ($3) and affogato ($7.50) using beans from local roaster brand Two Degrees North.
