Are you smarter than a 2-year-old? This Singaporean kid has an IQ of 142Here's a fact that should totally make your Friday — 2-year-old Elijah Catalig might very well be smarter than you.  With an IQ of 142, little Catalig is the youngest member of Mensa Singapore, The Straits Times reports. What that means is that this child possesses an IQ in the top 2 percent of the population. An average child only has an IQ of 100 while the average IQ level of adults is around 115.  His parents had taken him for a psychological test last month, measuring his analytical and reasoning abilities with tests in logic, mathematics, picture puzzles and number sequences.  He scored 142. According to most intellectual scales, that would put him in the highest classification of intelligence.  Young Elijah managed to master the alphabet before he turned one and was able to count up to 50 and perform simple math a year later.  The boy will be starting a weekly class at the Gifted and Talented Education Centre to develop his interest in maths. His interests however are like any other child — he enjoys painting animals and is currently devoting his attention to sharks and dinosaurs.  Photo: Kheel Center via Flickr
