Were they planning a long weekend party we're not aware of?
Three men in their early 20s have been arrested for breaking into coffeeshops located in dreary industrial estates and stealing cash, cigarettes and drinks.
The latest heist was in Marsiling but previous ones reported to the police were in Penjuru and Tai Seng.
Clever officers from the Singapore Police Department sensed a pattern and arrested the three suspects following a six-hour operation on 28 April 2015.
They seized some cigarettes, which are believed to stolen. No drinks, no cash.
The two suspects aged 23 and 24 could face up to 12 years in prison under the Housebreaking and Theft by Night with Common Intention law, while the other one, charged for Dishonestly Receiving Stolen Property, could get up to five years and a fine.
