Every May 4, Star Wars fans all across the world whisper, yell, exclaim and tweet each other the vulcan salute line that has left a galactic legacy across the cosmos: May the Force be with you.
The Force awakens in Singapore this weekend as Intergalactic Star Wars Day is being celebrated with a two day gala celebrating all things lightsabers, Jedi mind tricks, poor-shooting stormtroopers and more at Suntec City.
The two-day Celebrate the Force event features everything you'd expect and want at a Star Wars convention with appearances by the 501st Battalion (they're an elite clone trooper unit for you banthas out there), exclusive goodie bags to be given away, along with a stage performance and a workshop session with Southeast Asia's premier lightsaber fight choreography team FightSaber.
Here's the best part — all proceeds from the various activities at the event will go towards Make a Wish Foundation Singapore. Truly, they are uniting for the light side of the Force.
Put down your blasters for a minute and drop by Suntec City, East Atrium this weekend to Celebrate the Force — admission is free too. More details on the official Facebook event page.
