Former president S R Nathan has been warded in the Singapore General Hospital following a stroke last Tuesday.
The 90-year-old had not been able to take his frequent walks along East Coast Park for the past six months, The Straits Times reports.
Singapore's longest-serving president is said to be recovering and is now undergoing therapy. He served for 12 years as president from 1999 to 2011 prior to current incumbent Dr. Tony Tan.
President Tan visited Nathan in hospital earlier this week and wished him a speedy recovery.
