A large number of firefighting vehices descended on Toa Payoh's HDB Hub yesterday to put out a fire in the building's basement carpark.
A sedan car parked on B1 level caught fire at about 1.30pm yesterday, and 20 people were evacuated from the scene, according to various media reports.
The blaze, which started in the car's engine, was put out using two fire extinguishers and a hosereel jet by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers.
Nobody was injured and SCDF investigations are ongoing.
