The sky will have limits. The Ministry of Transport have proposed regulations that "will set out what drones can do, their weight and where they can fly," reports Xue Juianyue in Today.  Under the proposal, drone operators will need to apply for a permit online via the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, possibly from the start of June, if the equipment: – has a total weight of more than 7kg – is to be used for commercial or specialised purposes such as construction or land surveying – intends to fly in restricted or danger areas declared by the CAAS These regulations fall under the Unmanned Aircraft Bill, which are actually amendments to an exisiting Air Navigation Act and Public Order Act. The bill was introduced for First Reading in Parliament yesterday.  It is also clear about not allowing drones to carry dangerous materials such as weapons or biochemical and radioactive material. We're guessing, however, that restaurants like Timbre are still okay to use their Infinium-Serves waiters to deliver food to customers indoors? Photo: Channel NewsAsia
