Minister Heng Swee Keat wants Lee Kuan Yew's red box to go on public display Got a tip? Send it to us at singapore@coconuts.co. Speaking at Changkat Primary School earlier today, Education Minister Heng Swee Keat announced possible plans to display the late Lee Kuan Yew's famous red box that he had used throughout his working life.  The minister — who previously worked as Lee's Principal Private Secretary — recounted a personal anecdote last week, wherein he described his daily interactions with Lee's red box, which contained papers, speech drafts, letters, notes, readings and other reflections that played an important part in the well-being of the country.  The post went viral, and was a touching tribute about the nation's founding Prime Minister who was relentlessly committed to improving the state of Singapore.  According to Channel NewsAsia, Heng believed that fellow Singaporeans should be able to view the box and how it played a huge part of Lee's life and the country's history.  Photo: Heng Swee Keat Facebook page
