Damn, this is just too classy. Veteran jazz singer Rani Singam and world-renowned pianist Jeremy Monteiro made an appearance at the Parliament House to give a heartfelt, elegant rendition to the National Day classic 'One People, One Nation, One Singapore'.

My thanks to Rani Singam, Jeremy Monteiro, and all the musicians presenting musical tributes at the Lying in State. Thousands heard and enjoyed their beautiful and moving performances. – LHL(PMO Video by Chiez How, Nurwafah & Kit Mei)

The musical tribute added an air of both nostalgia and sophistication, providing a uplifting tone to the sombre mood as the founding Prime Minister laid in state nearby.
A familiar scene played out a few days ago when the choir troupe from St John's College, Cambridge dropped by the Parliament House to perform a majestic rendition of 'Home', another National Day classic.
