Got a tip? Send it to us at singapore@coconuts.co. Indonesia has cut the number of athletes that it will send to the 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore to 500 after organisers reduced quotas in June. The chief of a task force in charge of preparing athletes for the games, Suwarno, said that 56 athletes had been removed, and Indonesia was now concentrating on areas where it stood the best chance of winning medals. Cycling, rowing and boxing all lost athletes due to the reduction in numbers, said the official, who like many Indonesians goes by one name. "Our hope is that the Indonesian team will be able to meet a target... of winning 47 to 70 gold medals," he was quoted as saying on the task force website earlier this week.  The Southeast Asian Games will take place from June 5-16. Athletes from 11 participating nations are expected to compete in the Games which will showcase 36 sports including swimming, athletics and billiards. Story:  AFP Photo: www.seagames2015.com
