Got a tip? Send it to us at singapore@coconuts.co.  In an effort to make money for himself, a homeless man went on a shoplifting spree around Singapore, stealing around $1,500 worth of condoms and medication.  55-year-old Krishnan Ayapan pleaded guilty in a Community Court to two counts of theft in dwelling, while another two theft-related charges will be taken into consideration during sentencing, The New Paper reports.  Last November, Krishnan had stolen a wallet from a basketball court in Ang Mo Kio, while a week later he pilfered 45 boxes of colds medication worth over $380 from a 7-Eleven outlet on River Valley Road.  Earlier in January, he took off with nearly $590 worth of Panadol from another 7-Eleven outlet in Ang Mo Kio.  A week later, he went to NTUC FairPrice supermarket in Hougang, stealing 32 boxes of condoms and stuffing them in an NTUC plastic bag he had with him. He was caught by a security officer outside the supermarket and the police arrested him.  In court, Krishnan revealed that he committed the crimes to sell the products for money as he was left homeless. His siblings had rejected him after his previous prison release as he was referred to the Institute Of Mental Health for treatment following convictions in 2011 and 2012.  In response, the judge called his claims worrying and asked that they be looked into.  Krishnan's string of offences began since 1972, and he was even serving a six-month jail term last May for theft in dwelling offences. It was only a few months after his release that he kicked off another spree of criminal activities.  Photo: Jean-Etienne Minh-Duy Poi via Flickr
