If there's one thing that Singaporeans can unite in jubilation about, it's tech expos. Expect nothing less than a horde of sweaty deal-finders from this Thursday onwards at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre when the annual IT Show returns.
Spread across three levels at the exhibition centre, the IT Show will be featuring more than just great deals on electronic products and services — attendees will also be able to enjoy a tech showcase featuring hands-on exhibitions of the latest gadgets taking the world by storm including ASUS's latest gaming laptop, Parrot's various starter drones and Thalmic Labs' MYO Gesture Control armband.
Gamers will be able to catch live matches and even participate in them in this year's Age of Gaming exhibition, featuring Street Fighter, DOTA 2 and Counter-Strike, with up to $8,000 worth of cash and prizes to be won. An 18-metre long wall filled with gaming products and show bags called The Marketplace should also draw in folks looking for new gear.
Those with old electronic devices lying around should also take note that there'll be booths accepting old laptops, tablets and smartphones for cash vouchers which can be used around the expo.
