After hearing the call to chaos of its cousins — one bulldozed through 12 vehicles at the Kranji Expressway while the other fell over and narrowly missed decimating a house — another mobile crane chose to subject itself to misadventure on Monday when it toppled over while being set up at a construction site.
Located at Sunview Drive in Jurong, the developer was contracted to build an electrical substation at the site, Channel NewsAsia reports. The incident reportedly occurred when the crane was extending its boom, and fortunately no one was injured.
The Ministry of Manpower has issued a stop-work order at the worksite while investigations are being conducted by officers from the Ministry's Safety and Health Division.
