Safuwan Baharudin scores first goal for Melbourne FC, crowned Man Of The MatchThe eyes of the whole nation have been fixed on national footballer  Safuwan Baharuddin ever since he went on a three-month loan at Australia's Melbourne City FC, and last Saturday he brought home some glory for himself when he scored his debut goal for the club against Adelaide United FC and winning the Man of the Match award.  After 51 minutes in the losing end of things, Safuwan delivered a clinical finish, and effectively becomes the first Singaporean to score in Australia's top football league. His goal sparked off two more goals from his team, ending in a 3-1 victory for Melbourne City. He was crowned Man of The Match later on after a fan vote, and was said to be 'unfazed' and played in multiple positions in a display of versatility.    (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); Post by Melbourne City FC. His efforts were noticed by top English Premier League club Manchester City (owned under the same group that owns Melbourne City) and he received a warm congratulatory tweet.   Well done to @MelbourneCity ace Safuwan Baharudin for making history today! http://t.co/2OpoaYO5Mm pic.twitter.com/QTekUG7gDR — Manchester City FC (@MCFC) February 27, 2015 Photo: Melbourne City FC Facebook page
