MONDAY FEB. 23 Great World Cabaret Lovers of retro Singapore will enjoy this stand-up comedy theatre series written by Alfian Sa'at and Benjamin "Miyagi" Lee, which features a different actor each week from a lineup that includes Hossan Leong and Mark Lee. Joining them are performers coming from across the Causeway such as Aisyah Aziz, who'll play '80s singer Kartina Dahari.  Shows happen everyday this week except Wednesday. Tickets are $48 upwards from Sistic. TUESDAY FEB. 24 53A @ Timbre The YouTube-popular cover band kicks off the week at Timbre at the Arts House, then moves to the Gillman outlet on Thursday and finally, the Substation outlet on Friday.  Bar and restaurant entry's free, but make sure to reserve your table.  Comedy at Canvas with Kumar If you're new to Singapore and want a taste of pure local comedy, this is it. We've seen the drag queen on stage, TV and film so many times over the last 20 years, yet you won't hear us talking about how sick we are of his jokes. If you're local, be warned — he's still not done making fun of you.  8:30 — 11:30pm at Canvas. Tickets are $25 via Eventbrite.   WEDNESDAY FEB. 25 Talk Cock Comedy If inspired by Kumar or whatever else you want to have your own show, come to Arab Street's most bustling entertainment joint to take a shot at their stand-up comedy open mic. You only have five minutes, so practise.  8:30pm at Blu Jaz Cafe. $10 at door.   THURSDAY FEB. 26 Speed paktor In the mood to meet new people? The offline business arm of local dating app Paktor is organising a singles networking session at one of the restaurants in Singapore recreating the fresh bustle of Fremantle in Perth. Tuck in to a variety of fresh fish imported from around the world and get talking.  7:30 — 10:15pm at Freemantle Seafood Market. $59 per person.   FRIDAY FEB. 27 Chingay (top pic) It's Singapore's Jubilee year so naturally, this year's Chingay parade will be the biggest and grandest in the nation's history. Themed "We Love SG", it'll feature a showcase of a million flowers made out of used plastic bags (trust us it looks far better than it sounds), a grand finale song concocted by Corinne May, JJ Lin and Goh Kheng Long, and of course, some amazing floats, representing local cultures and generations.  Runs through Feb. 28 from 7pm, at F1 Pit Building. Tickets are $28.50 upwards from Sistic. Christina Perri Head or Heart Tour "Jar of Hearts" and "A Thousand Years" star Christina Perri's bringing her second album Head or Heart to Singapore as part of a world tour. If you've always loved songs that question, well, the decision-making process in love, don't miss this... be a little "Human".  8pm at The Coliseum. Tickets are $118 via Sistic, $138 at the door.  SATURDAY FEB. 28 Lepark Sessions Vol. 1 After a successful first run with Getai Electronica, the rooftop of People's Park Complex is turning out again for the first edition of Lepark Sessions, where local artists record in front of a live audience.
