The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), with help from the Singapore Police Force (SPF), arrested 86 drug offenders in the first island-wide operation of 2014 from Jan. 7 to Jan. 10.
The three-day operation was conducted at neighbourhoods such as Ang Mo Kio, Beach Road, Bendemeer, Boon Lay, Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Clementi, Hougang, Jurong, Kallang, Tampines, Toa Payoh and Woodlands, during which the CNB seized more than $39,000 worth of drugs — 12g of cannabis, 304g of heroin, 32g of 'ice' and small amounts of erimin-5, 'ecstasy' tablets and ketamine.
