Block 88 along Tanglin Halt Road played host to an unexpected seven-storeyed fountain of water yesterday afternoon when a pipe at a construction site near Commonwealth MRT station burst open.
Residents nearby alerted Channel NewsAsia of the incident, reporting tonnes of water spewing six to seven storeys up in the air for over an hour.
Reportedly, the Public Utilities Board were alerted around 4.30pm about the pipe damage at the excavation site. Officers were sent to the site to repair the damage.
