![Alcoholic sentenced to 2nd 10-year imprisonment after stealing beer again]()
Barely four months out of prison for alcohol theft, a man's addiction to the beverage drove him to do it again, pilfering cans of beer from NTUC Fairprice at Tiong Bahru Plaza Shopping Centre last year.
56-year-old Low Ah Tee was sentenced to 10 years of preventive detention in court yesterday, The New Paper reports. In total, he stole a total of 232 cans of beer worth around $790 over two occasions in October and November. His tried to cart off with a trolley full of beers when he was caught by a staff at the supermarket.
The sentence was Low's second 10-year preventive detention.
