Singapore's newest exclusive social house is also the first to serve the Black Ivory Coffee, possibly the world's rarest kind.
The Club is available only for Club, Grand Club and Suite guests at the Marina Bay Sands from 6:30am to 7pm, but it opens to the public from 8pm till midnight daily as a Cheese and Chocolate Bar.
Here, guests can try the Black Ivory Coffee, prepared tableside with a traditional coffee maker whose design dates back to the 1840s in France.
Street rescued elephants in Chiang Saen, Thailand, are fed quality Arabica beans picked from an altitude as high as 1,500 metres. Once deposited by the elephants, the individual beans are hand-picked by the animals' caretakers or Mahouts, then sun-dried and roasted. Word has it the elephants' digestive system breaks down the protein in the coffee, making it significantly less bitter than others and more delicate, almost tea-like. Only 200kg of Black Ivory Coffee is produced each year.
Which is probably it costs $60++ for two people at The Club.
