Malaysia has given the green light to another reclamation project in the Johor Strait.
Called Princess Cove, the high-rise luxury home project includes two reclaimed islands on both sides of the Causeway off Johor Bahru, altogether spanning about 47.1 hectares.
Princess Cove will feature hotels, offices and shopping malls when it is completed. Its furthest end will be 290m from Singapore boundary.
Chinese company Guangzhou R&F Properties had bought the land title in November 2013, but work was halted mid last year when Malaysia's Department of Environment decided a detailed environmental impact assessment (DEIA) needed to be carried out.
Princess Cove is separate from the massive Forest City project, which also recently halted amid concerns from local fisherman and the Singapore government.
