Two more rats plus dried droppings found at Hotpot Culture restaurant in Marina SquareMarina Square restaurant Hotpot Culture, which only recently confirmed the dead rat found by customer Caron Chan at its porridge buffet last week, discovered two more rats plus dried droppings during intensive pest control treatment ordered by the National Environment Agency (NEA).  NEA, which says it will take the Chinese restaurant to task and has since suspended its operations, requested that Hotpot Culture sealed up possible entry points for rats, such as the gaps in the storeroom and the kitchen, where the droppings were found.  According to The Straits Times, owner Mr. Lim Choon Kok has already spent $3,000 on blocking the entry points and more regular rodent treatment, which includes sanitisation by misting.  Mr. Lim explained that the vegetable dish where the first rat was found, had had to be cooked the day before and could not be fully covered so it wouldn't go bad. "Unfortunately a rat went in... the chef has apologised and I have given him a warning letter," he said.  Photo: Caron Chan
