Neither have we, but we want to, the way School of the Arts (SOTA) singing teacher Dr. Thomas Manhart has.
Here's why:
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
Post by Thomas Manhart.
THAT'S NUTS. IT'S NUTS, RIGHT?
The only thing we know about him is that he's 63 years old and drives a Comfort Delgro taxi. Dr. Manhart said they'd been engaged in small talk when he told the driver he was a singing teacher. The driver then revealed he took singing lessons from a Chinese tenor who trained in Italy in the '50s, and when Dr. Manhart asked for a demo, he obliged.
In a Facebook post, the Singing and World music teacher wrote, "I couldn't believe what was happening. 63 old (sic) taxi driver, never performed, with still such a fabulous voice. He called me teacher and bowed, but I bowed lower coz this gets all my respect!!!"
The video he uploaded with the post has gotten over 12,000 views since mid November.
