No reports of Singaporeans affected by Sydney siege so far: MFAPhoto: Armed police seen at a cafe in the central business district of Sydney, believed to be holding hostages, on Dec. 15, 2014; AFP / Saeed Khan As of noon, there have been no reports of Singaporeans being affected by the developing hostage situation in Sydney, Australia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) revealed today (Dec. 15). “MFA is deeply concerned about this disturbing development and our thoughts are with the hostages and their families. MFA is monitoring the situation closely," said a ministry spokesman.
