![Singapore Airlines to codeshare with EVA Air on six North American routes]()
It might not make as much news as its Hello Kitty jet, but EVA Air has signed a new agreement with Singapore Airlines that extends their codeshare arrangement to six North American destinations.
From today, the Taiwanese carrier’s flights from Taipei to Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, New York (JFK), Toronto and Vancouver will carry the SQ code. With this partnership, travellers departing from Singapore can expect more options and greater flexibility when it comes to planning their trips to the six cities.
The deal comes on the first anniversary of the original agreement between the two Star Alliance members who also codeshare on 21 flights between Singapore and Taipei weekly.
In a press release, Singapore Airlines’ senior vice president of marketing, Lee Wen Fen, spoke of the company’s delight with the expanded tie-up and cited it as an example of their efforts to build on their network.
