Residents living at a HDB block along Ghim Moh Road had their evening plans cut short when a unit on the seventh floor caught fire last night.
Officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the Singapore Police Force (SPF) helped evacuate residents from the fifth to 17th floor of the block, according to Channel NewsAsia.
Footage of the flat on fire was captured by an Eric Li, sent to Straits Times.
SCDF was alerted to the incident close just before 8pm, dispatching two fire bikes, a light fire attack vehicle, two fire engines and an ambulance to the site. The blaze was put out in less than 15 minutes, while no injuries had been reported.
