Despite reports that the Sports Hub may be switching over to an artificial turf at the National Stadium after months of troubles and complaints about the poor pitch quality, the company has set it straight that they may not be doing so.
An official Sports Hub spokesman has corrected the misconception, and that they are actually still considering several options. Yesterday, TODAY reported that Sports Hub Pte. Ltd. (SHPL) will be bearing the full costs of installing an artificial pitch at the National Stadium to replace the current $800,000 Desso Grassmaster hybrid pitch.

So far, there haven't been major complaints about the pitch in the ongoing AFF Suzuki Cup. This Saturday, the National Stadium will play host to the highly anticipated showdown between Malaysia and Singapore.
