A video allegedly of the mythical Bukit Timah Monkey Man has making its rounds again, two years after it first spread.
The footage of a large ape-like creature lumbering around trash at the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve in what looked like the wee hours of the morning was re-shared by the All Singapore Stuff Facebook page today, followed by Stomp.
Netizens' response haven't changed much, with some confirming it is the creature commonly associated to WWII folklore and others accusing it of being a human playing dress-up.
Evidence of the existence of any other primate-like creatures other than those like the long-tailed macaques at Bukit Timah has never been discovered despite records of sightings since the 1800s. The Shin Min Daily News also reportedly sent a journalist to the site in 2008, but found nothing.
