![Food colouring, surgical masks found on 26-year-old loanshark runner arrested in Ang Mo Kio]()
Police arrested a 26-year-old man believed to be a debtor-turned-runner, early yesterday (Nov. 18) morning.
At about 3:30am, officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division spotted the suspect behaving strangely at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 and conducted a check on him, leading them to believe he had scrawled loanshark-related graffiti on the wall of stairwells in Toa Payoh Lorong 5.
He was arrested and related paraphernalia such as surgical masks, bottles of food colouring, caps and a handphone were seized.
The suspect will be charged in court today. First-time offenders of loanshark harassment face a fine of no less than $5,000, imprisonment of up to five years and up to six strokes of the cane.
