All Nereids Beware — beloved post-hardcore outfit Chiodos is finally dropping by here for a show next year.
Chiodos hit the ground running back in the early 2000's with their progressive brand of post-hardcore (complete with electronic beats, piano interludes and metal riffs) coupled with explosive live showmanship. Their most notable feature though was probably the vocalwork of Craig Owens, whose range could easily match the likes post-hardcore crooner Anthony Green (Circa Survive, Saosin).
Following a bout of lineup changes throughout the years and barely escaping the fate of band breakups, Chiodos continues stronger than ever today, especially with Thomas Erak of The Fall Of Troy joining in permanently as guitarist. The outfit recently released their latest album Devil in April, a full-bodied sonic collection of rousing aggression, and a statement that they're still not done yet with music.
Catch Chiodos live at TAB on Jan. 25, tickets on sale this Saturday. More details available on the official Upsurge Productions Facebook page.
