A Facebook page supposedly owned by Mobile Air says the errant Sim Lim Square retailer has reopened.
Joining a string of posts promoting their products while denying their engagement in unfair business practices today, was an announcement inviting customers to visit their store.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
Post by Mobile Air.
But one of our reporters at Sim Lim Square says the shop is still effectively shuttered. So if they're still operating out of the store, it must be via a secret entrance — their underground coin dungeon, perhaps?
And the bizarro doesn't stop there.
A middle-aged man had approached us to insist the shop was no more, pushing one of the Consumers Association of Singapore's (CASE) customer complaint notices into our hands.
We'd already seen the notice, of course, but there was something new — exactly as CASE had said, names of two reported retailers — Cyber Maestro and Camera Talk — had been omitted.
A permanent injunction has already been imposed on Cyber Maestro, and CASE revealed yesterday they're working on filing one against Mobile Air, which has been receiving immense flak from the community for driving a Vietnamese tourist to tears with their scammy ways.
