Infamous comedian Steven Lim recently uploaded a video on his YouTube channel describing his tearful reaction to footage of Vietnamese tourist Pham Ban Thoai begging for his money back from the swindlers at electronics store Mobile Air.
Lim feels strongly for Pham, knowing exactly how it feels to be in poverty; he once survived on a loaf of bread in his younger days.
He takes out $1000 from his wallet, counting the money in front of the camera and seeking help from his viewers on how to contact Pham with the promise to personally pass him an iPhone 6.
Already, the crowdfunding campaign set up for the Vietnamese man by Gabriel Kang has raised over $11,000 in US dollars which means a helluva lot of Apple products and a very luxurious, trouble-free holiday if he’s ever willing to return here.
