![Sim Lim swindlers Mobile Air laughs as Vietnamese tourist begs for refund]()
The assholes at Sim Lim Square’s Mobile Air are at it again, despite a probe by the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) over the high profile case that saw them refunding a customer $1000 in coins.
Lianhe Zaobao reports that the errant retailer is involved in yet another dispute, this time involving a Vietnamese tourist who got duped by their shady dealings.
Reportedly, a Mr. Bành had bought an iPhone 6 as his girlfriend’s birthday present, paying $950 for it after signing an invoice.
The swindling retailers then demanded $1,500 from the man for the warranty, which he was led to believe as complimentary. The shop refused to let Bành leave without paying.
After refusing to refund the man, the clearly distressed Bành broke down, getting on his knees and begged while crying. The salespeople reportedly laughed at the poor man.
Mobile Air eventually agreed to refund him $600 out of the $950 paid, meaning Bành will be paying $350 for nothing. After resorting to CASE, the shop then offered to give back an even lesser amount — $400.
In the end, Bành and his girlfriend took the $400, saying that he be flying back home in two days time and would not be able follow through the full procedures with CASE.
The Real Singapore reports that the shop has already received 11 complaints in just 3 months.
Fuck these guys, seriously.
