We’re starting to see a trend here.
After the launch of ‘traffic light’ system indicating human traffic on platforms by SMRT, the Land Transport Authority has rolled out new signboards reflecting colour-coded real-time traffic situations.
These new Expressway Motoring Advisory System (EMAS) signboards will be operating on the Central Expressway (CTE) and East Coast Parkway (ECP) starting this Sunday.
Traffic messages on the EMAS will display text and graphics up to seven colours.
By 2017, the signboards will be installed on all roads.
