In conjunction with the nation’s 50th birthday next year, Parliamentary Secretary for Social and Family Development Low Yen Ling shared that all Singaporean couples getting married in 2015 will receive a special gift by the ministry.
Speaking to reporters at the “Families for Life” event on Oct. 25, Low explained that the memorable gift will come in the form of a uniquely-designed marriage certificate holder – a representation of the couple’s blissful marriage.
This initiative was inspired by suggestions from the public to celebrate family milestones alongside SG50.
