66-year-old Quek Yah Chiang has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for performing sexual acts on an underage special needs girl.
On May 2, the then-manager of a maid agency approached the special needs student as a teacher, while she was waiting for the train after school . According to The Straits Times, he had led her to the Basement 2 level of the Singapore Post Centre, where he committed obscene acts on her.
He later led the mortified girl to Paya Lebar MRT station and made her promise not to tell anyone. Before he left, he gave her $4 for food.
The girl, who suffers from moderate mental retardation, is still traumatised by his indecent acts.
It was revealed in court that Quek’s a repeat offender of sexual crimes dating as far back as 1985.
